National Education Policy....The revolutionary step....Parents must read

Good evening friends,

National education Policy 2020 is approved by The Union Cabinet on Wednesday is the biggest step after 34 years and which surely focuses on the holistic development of the child.
This education policy has corrected the drawbacks of earlier education policy and made a revolutionary change in the education system.
Today, writing this blog is my genuine attempt to put forward the highlight points of the National education policy in simple way, so let us get started .......

5+3+3+4 structure for school

1. Existing 10+2 system is replacing with 5+3+3+4 system, here 5 is the foundation stage for ages 3 to 8 years where focus will be on multi-level play way activity based learning. focuses on basic literacy( means ability of reading and understanding) and basic numeracy (means the knowledge of the numbers)
2. middle school(std 6 to 8) will have subject introduction and subject exploration and multidisciplinary approach(means the child can select the combination of the subject according to his/her interest, like if child wants to take fashion studies along with physics, so he can take) and +4 is 9 to 12 will also have multidisciplinary approach.
3. From standard 6th, the coding will be taught to the children.
4. No rigid separation like co-curricular activity(eg. debating), extra- curricular activity(Music), Vocational (may be knowledge of laundry, carpenter) is non-academic. So all the subjects will be taught at the same level.

5. Vocational will start from standard 6th along with the internship to understand local crafts, trades etc...
6. The framework for 0 to 3 years child, where the parents will be told the things which they can conduct at the home for child's development.
7. The importance of Board exam will be reduced by making different changes like dividing the board exams into two parts etc. and it is been mentioned that board exam should test the knowledge which we can apply in our day to day life and not the rote memorization.
8. Till 5 th standard or it may extend till standard 8 or further the importance should be given to the mother tongue( teaching should be in  native language, wherever possible.
9. Report card will not be evaluated only by the Teacher but by the classmates also and it will be discussed with the parents and very important thing will be included in that is the life skill that the child has acquired. So, when the child will passed the 12 standard, his/her report card will show the life skills he/she imbibed in past 12 years. So, every child will come out of the school adept in at least on skill.
10. The focus will be Book promotion policy and Digital libraries.

The above one is for the School education and even for the Higher education their are major reforms, some of them are as follows,
1. The children will have the Flexibility of Subjects, as per their interest that is multidisciplinary approach.
2. Multiple Entry and Exit, So it will be benefited to the dropped down children who could not continue their education for some reason.
3. Under graduate programme will be for 3 or 4 years and post graduate pragramme for 1 or 2 years
4. Integrated 5 year bachelor's/ Master's.
M Phil to be discontinued.

So, we can say that the curriculum will integrate the 21st Century Skills, Mathematical Thinking and Scientific temper. The children will have the freedom to select the subject of their own interest. Their will be Digitally Equipped Schools, Teachers and Students.
It shows the vision of creating an education system that contributes directly to transforming the country, providing high quality education to all, and making India a global knowledge superpower.

It is really the great treat for the children of today's generation and for the parents who are concern for their children development.
